Padlocks of love and Padova. At night, when most of the people have gone off to sleep, lovers would visit this bridge that overlooks the Specola (the tower where Galileo Galilei used to observe the vastness of the sky), seal a padlock onto the railings and toss the key into the river to signify a promise of love locked for eternity.
